Maggie Mae uses visual art to express herself through introspection. She uses it as a conduit for her thoughts and emotions that she finds inexpressible with words. For artist, Maggie Mae, she finds the act of making art meditative and therapeutic. Maggie studied studio art at Bethany College, under professors Frank Shaw and Mary Kay. During her time at Bethany College she spent a lot of time at the Sandzen Gallery and acquired an appreciation for block printing. Maggie's works have been shown all through-out central Kansas including shows at the UU, and The Art Nook. Maggie has also been a featured artist at the Artist Studio Open House in Lindsborg Kansas. When not making art she enjoys collecting plants, drinking coffee and spending time with her husband, son, and two cats.
