I have lived in Kansas my entire life and have been a functional potter for 28years. When I first signed up for ceramics back in college, I thought I was simply going to scrape, sand and brush on a little glaze. Panic struck when my instructor plunked a lump of clay on the wheel before me and told me to "Go for it!" With much reservation I accepted the challenge, after all it WAS for a grade. That was the beginning of my passion for clay and my evolution from clunky cat bowls to ice buckets!
