Ozias, Gary
| Gary Ozias, Kansas artist, loves the Great Plains and nothing gives him more enjoyment than painting the many and varied moods of the region. He works in a variety of media including oil, pastel, alkyd, watercolor and pencil. |
Gary Ozias has won numerous awards and recognition for his painting. His work hangs in public and private collections from coast to coast in the United States and also in numerous other countries. He works in a variety of media, but most of his recent work has been in pastels and oils. His painting is representational but also has a painterly touch to it. He loves to capture the essence and feel of the weather conditions which envelop a landscape. His subjects range from Midwestern and western landscapes, to wildlife and still life. Many of his paintings are drawn from the wide open skies and prairies that he loves. He is a signature member of both the Pastel Society of America and the MidAmerica Pastel Society. He also belongs to Oil Painters of America. His work has found favor with jurors and purchasers alike. He considers himself fortunate to be able to paint full time, doing the thing that he loves. He hopes that others will find the same enjoyment from viewing his work as he does in painting it. You can also visit Gary Ozias' Website to find more samples of his work
