Morgenstern, Donna
|
| Donna Morgenstern is a Kansas artist. The ancient art of wheat weaving became the first decorative art form of civilization. Our ancestors believed there were spirits in the grains, earth and nature, and needed a way to thank these gods to assure their return for the next growing season. They made harvest symbols from the last sheaf of grain as their thanksgiving offerings and as a home for the spirits to reside till the next planting season. |
