| Kansas artist Hugh Greer graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in industrial design. He worked for over forty years in the architectural field. His work has been shown in many exhibitions. Hugh won the Grand Prize at Arts for the Parks, an International competition in September 2003 and Grand Prize in the Mini competition in 2006. |

Hugh Greer has won numerous awards. Hugh won Best of Show, "Kansas 7 State Watercolor Exhibition 2000" and Best of Show, "Art from the Heartland 2001." In 2002, Hugh was the winner for Region III in the Arts for the Parks competition and the People's choice award for the same painting. September 2003, Hugh won the Grand Prize at Arts for the Parks Top 100, an International competition. In 2004, Hugh won an Award of Merit from the Estes Park Plein Air Painting the Parks competition. The Fine Art of Living Well Regional Show awarded Hugh the People's Choice Award and the Clifford Stone Award of Merit. In October, the 35th Annual Art Awards sponsored by the Arts Council (Wichita, Kansas), presented Hugh with their Excellence in the Arts "Individual Artist" Award for 2004.
